Create an invitation from a PDF

If you already have your invitation design as a PDF, you can use it as a base in Invitio and enrich it with canvas editor elements: location, music, RSVP, and more.

This feature is only available for Planner accounts. If you don't have a Planner account yet, you can request one from the I want to be a Planner section in your profile.

Step 1 — Create an event

From your main dashboard, create a new event with the basic details: name, date, and type of celebration.

If you already have an event created, you can skip straight to the next step.

Step 2 — Create an invitation and choose the PDF option

Inside your event, click Create invitation. You'll see the available options to start your design.

Select Upload a PDF. This option lets you upload your file and use it as the base of the invitation.

Step 3 — Upload your file

Select the PDF file from your device. The file must be under 25 MB.

Invitio will process the file automatically. Depending on the size, this may take a few seconds.

The file must be in PDF format and no larger than 25 MB. If your file is heavier, compress it before uploading.

Step 4 — Customize in the canvas editor

Once the PDF is processed, the canvas editor opens with your design as the base. From there you can add elements from the side rail: RSVP, location, music, countdown, guestbook, and more.

Your original design stays as the background — canvas elements are placed on top, positioned freely wherever you need them.

Does your PDF have multiple pages? Invitio will include all pages as canvas sections.
Remember to save your invitation after customizing it. When you save, it publishes instantly and the link is ready to share.
