Permissions by event section

Each area of the event panel has its own permission. Whether you're a couple sharing access with your planner or a planner building a team across multiple events — you choose whether each collaborator can View, Create, Edit, or Delete, independently for every section.

View is required to access a section at all. If View is off, the section disappears from the collaborator's menu. Create, Edit, and Delete only apply when View is enabled.

The four actions

View — See the section and its content. Without View, the section is hidden.

Create — Add new items (guests, tables, budget entries, etc.).

Edit — Modify existing content (change the invitation design, move tables on the floor plan, update guest details, etc.).

Delete — Remove items (guests, messages, media, etc.). Some sections use Edit instead of separate Create/Delete labels — for example, the floor plan uses View + Edit.

Sections you can control

Invitation — Design, personalize, and save the invitation. View lets them preview; Edit lets them change the design.

Guests — Guest list, RSVP management, and access control. All four actions apply.

Tables — Seating arrangement and table assignments.

Budget — Event budget and expenses. Turn off View entirely to keep it completely private.

Agenda — Pending tasks and event to-dos.

Digital Album — Cover, settings, and uploaded photos.

Guest Book — Messages from guests. Edit covers marking favorites; Delete covers removing messages.

Floor Plan — Venue layout. View to see it; Edit to move elements and change the layout.

WhatsApp — Send invitations via WhatsApp.

WhatsApp Templates — Connect and manage WhatsApp Business templates.

Event Configuration — RSVP settings, event pass, and general event options. Uses Edit (not View) because it's a settings area.

Collaborators — Two separate controls: Collaboration invitations (invite, edit roles, remove people) and Collaborators list (see the full team).

Privacy: keeping sections confidential

The most common use of granular permissions is privacy. If you don't want a collaborator to see the budget, turn off Budget entirely — they won't see it in the menu or be able to open it.

For couples and families: keep the budget between yourselves while your planner handles guests and the floor plan. For planners: hide internal budget tracking from the client while giving them view-only access to the invitation and RSVP progress.

The same applies to any section: WhatsApp setup, guest list, floor plan, or agenda. Share only what each person needs for their role.

Readers can only have View permissions. Even if you wanted to, you couldn't give a Reader edit access — you'd need to change their role to Editor first.

View-only access is perfect for showing someone the invitation or floor plan without letting them change anything: enable View, leave Create, Edit, and Delete off.

Only the event Owner can delete the invitation itself. Even Administrators with full permissions cannot remove the invitation — that action stays with the owner.
