Set up WhatsApp Personal

With WhatsApp Personal you connect your personal number to send automatic invitations from Invitio. You don't need a Meta Business account.

To set up automatic sending with WhatsApp Personal, use a number that's active on WhatsApp on your phone. We recommend doing this on a computer, since you'll need to scan a QR code from the WhatsApp app.

Step 1: Open automatic sending

Go to your event panel and open the Guests section.

Find the automatic WhatsApp sending option and start the process there. Select WhatsApp Personal, then click Get started.

Step 2: Select your guests

Select the guests you want to send the invitation to and click Next.

Step 3: Write your message

Edit the message you want to send. You can add or remove variables — they'll be replaced with each guest's data. When the message looks good, continue to the next step.

Step 4: Enter your number

Enter your number with country code and confirm it in the second field, then click Connect to WhatsApp.

Use the same number you have on WhatsApp; if you enter the wrong one, the QR code won't work.

Step 5: Scan the QR code

Invitio will show a QR code. On your phone, open WhatsApp → Linked devices → Link a device and scan the code. After scanning, press Verify connection.

If the QR takes a moment to appear, wait a few seconds — the connection sometimes takes a little time to generate.

Step 6: Confirm and send

Once WhatsApp is linked, accept the usage policies and send the invitation to the guests you selected.

Don't close WhatsApp on your phone while sending. If you message many people at once, WhatsApp may limit your number because it's personal use, not Business.
