What changed in WhatsApp sending?

Invitio now offers two ways to send messages via WhatsApp. Here we explain the change in plain language and what it means for your event.

For a long time, automatic sending worked with WhatsApp Personal at no extra cost in Invitio. You can now also connect WhatsApp Business through Meta: it's more stable for professional use, but Meta charges per message according to its rates.

Why did we make this change?

We want you to send invitations with fewer interruptions. WhatsApp Personal can work well for a small number of contacts, but WhatsApp sometimes limits or blocks that type of use.

The official Meta integration is designed for businesses and event organizers: better delivery, approved templates, and fewer surprises when sending to many guests.

Do I have to switch now?

Not necessarily. If WhatsApp Personal works for you today and you send few messages, you can keep using it.

Meta is worth considering if you organize events often, need more stability, or want to use official WhatsApp Business templates.

If you use WhatsApp Personal, avoid sending many messages in a row to contacts who don't have you saved. That reduces the risk of WhatsApp restricting your number.
